Hello! I am Vicenta, a Spanish teacher with 20 years of experience. I live next to beautiful Lake Atitlán in Guatemala, where I grew up speaking *Spanish* and *tz'utujil* (a unique combination to immerse yourself in our culture!). My Guatemalan accent is clear and neutral, ideal for beginners looking for a solid foundation without haste. I have taught Spanish locally for 9 years. Where I live most people speak Tz'utujil at home and Spanish out of the house. The Guatemalan Spanish accent is very clear, neutral and has a pleasing cadence. It is slower, deliberate and we pronounce all the letters, which is a kinder transition for beginners and a more universal foundation around the world. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style is based on many hours of real time experience with people of all levels. It is difficult to fake teaching one on one. You, the student, can feel if you have advanced or not.
We find the level you are at and move form there. We continue with a new lesson and integrate that into your previous knowledge. I try to have lots of conversation, keeping engaging discussions with topics that are relevant to you and the new material. The more engaged everyone is, the easier it is to retain new information. With this approach there is no pressure and when you read my comments you'll see I approach every student with care, patience and kindness.我的教材

Vicenta is a great teacher. She is interested in you progress and talks about issues that are important to you, while teaching at the same time. She uses a conversational style, which is the best way to learn. I will continue to learn with her each week.

Challenging, fun, a little bit frustrating (because of my 60 year old brain LOL), and very rewarding!
Vicenta always surprises me with the amount of patience she shows when I struggle to overcome this Texas accent and learn proper pronunciation!
