안녕하세요! With more than 20 years of language teaching experience in Korea and in the US, I can help you learn or improve your Korean or English. I have traveled and lived in many places, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, several European countries and Caribbean nations. It was so interesting to meet people from different countries with different cultures that I became an online Korean teacher to reach out the people around the world. I like to share my extensive teaching and travel experience with the students. You will also have ample practice opportunities for preview and review at the interactive online curriculum I am using. I am a native Korean with a MA in English Teaching from the US and a BA in English Education from Korea University. I am also certified in ESL for children and adults. As a former ESL student, I experienced the challenges you may face learning a new language, and with my extensive language teaching experience, I can help you effectively learn Korean. 1. Thematic vocabulary in functions - fun practice with online flashcards
2. Grammar in context; sentence making practice & situational dialogues
3. Listening/speaking: dialogues in real life situations, role play, short written materials on various topics (supplement - short K-dramas & K-pop lyrics)
4. Reading: social, professional and academic life, Korean culture, practical lectures, Korean newspaper articles/news scripts for intermediate and advanced level practice
5. Writing: short free writing to apply what you have practiced (teacher feedback with revision provided)

Unju is always prepared and supportive, she helps you even if you may not speak English very well. I study Korean with her for more than a month and it is really a pleasure to do so. I often learn how to say many sentences in Korean just by talking about us and what we do, Unju is a perfect teacher and also very qualified. =)

Teacher Unju is lovely. She's patient and explains things clearly. She corrects my writing practice in Google Docs throughout the week and she always gives me time to ask questions. Her stories in class make learning more enjoyable and positive. Even with tough topics, Teacher Unju keeps a good pace, making me feel accomplished. I highly recommend Teacher Unju.
