I am an educator born and raised in Toronto, Canada, with a passion for language and culture. I have over five years of experience in helping students on and offline to improve their English language skills, but even more importantly, to help them become true cultural insiders. Even with so much diversity around me in Toronto, learning a secondary language (French) had always been a challenge for me. As an adult, I moved to Thailand to teach for three years, and I was again, met with the challenge of learning a new language. This time, using Thai culture--not grammar--as a starting point for learning, I finally experienced positive learning results and lasting motivation.我的教學經歷
This experience was transformational because it shifted me from thinking I could not learn another language to having the confidence to experiment with any language while learning about its culture. Many of my students continue to book lessons because they, too, have had a transformation in their English learning journey. Until this transformation happens for you, you may continue to experience:

My lessons help students experience a transformation in their English journey in three steps:
1. Improving your observation skills to assess how common situations in one's social life and/or the workplace are experienced by all people involved,
2. Identify the expectations of behavior that explain the details you have observed, and
3. Apply a close understanding of cultural expectations in your conversations with native English speakers, allowing for richer personal and professional relationships.
