I have studied English, Italian, and German from scratch! I understand the difficulties of learning foreign languages and the ways to improve.
Work: Graphic designer
University: English communication and business at a Japanese university. Design school in Italy & exchange student in the U.S
Countries I lived in: Italy, Vietnam, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, & Germany.
Countries I traveled to: France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Malaysia and Taiwan.
Hobbies: Traveling & Visiting art museums & Hiking & Cooking

After obtaining my qualification as a Japanese teacher at school, I worked briefly as a Japanese teacher in Vietnam. At that time, I taught conversation-focused classes from beginner to business level. I also have experience volunteering to teach Japanese language and culture to local American students during my study abroad in the U.S. I have been teaching Japanese on Italki since 2021.
学校で日本語教師の資格を取得した後、ベトナムで日本語教師として少し働きました。

Lessons tailored to students' levels, from beginner to advanced.
I offer a variety of lessons including conversation, reading comprehension, business Japanese, writing, and grammar. Lessons are provided based on the students' needs! Some lessons can even be customized by the students themselves!
I will carefully explain any parts that are unclear and encourage students to think for themselves. I will also provide thorough guidance on any incorrect expressions. Let’s work together to improve your Japanese skills!

The materials used are excellent--the vocabulary is not overwhelming but still interesting, the grammar is right on the border between what I'm familiar with and what I'm unfamiliar with, and the thematic arrangement makes recall easier through context without pigeon-holing the content. Tomomi's explanations are really helpful and she's really patient and encouraging with my many attempts and mistakes, so I feel good about doing the practice to get it right and understand.

Tomomi sensei is a very kind and patient teacher, she explains things in a way that helps me to understand the answers myself. She corrects my mistakes and explains things so I can remember for next time, and teaches new words and phrases to use in the discussions. I'm looking forward to the next lesson!

I am glad for the extra grammar practice! Systematically learning thematic vocabulary and grammar together is a great way to inventory what I'm able to recall and use, identifying what needs work.
