Hi! I'm Sabine, a native French speaker currently living in Portugal. Fifteen years ago, I started to teach French to asylum seekers as a volunteer and loved it so much that I continued teaching professionally while traveling. I have worked in language schools such as the famous Alliance Française (Melbourne and Lisbon) but also as a secondary teacher in French Guiana. I currently teach part-time on Italki. In parallel, I'm a PhD student conducting an investigation in Sociology of Literature about French ecofiction and I also hold a postgraduate degree in bibliotherapy. By taking a course with me, you will be provided with a friendly and caring environment as I’m always attentive to my student’s needs. I have developed my own material suitable for private online lessons from beginner to advanced level. You will have access to PDF lessons with grammar and vocabulary reminders and exercises so that you can study by yourself at home in addition to our one-on-one lesson. 我的課程內容與教學風格
I have built my lessons around the four core linguistic skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Our lessons will generally start with a document, for example, a text to study grammar and keep small talk going. For beginners, the lessons will be focused primarily around everyday life topics. For high level students, the class tends to focus on literature, popular culture and human sciences due to my background in Sociology and International development. To have an immersive experience during your class, French is the only language spoken. However, if you have difficulties, I can provide explanations in English or Portuguese.我的教材
