I am a dreamy soul who loves sunsets on the beach, nature, traveling and hugging animals until my clothes are full of hair.
Music has guided my life in both my languages - Spanish and English. When I was a child, it was music in Spanish that made me passionate about the different accents of Spanish from around the world. And it was music in English that gave me the dream of becoming fluent in English at some point.我的教學經歷

When I finished my Bachelor´s degree in Spanish Language and Literature, I moved abroad because I wanted to teach my language while learning English. I taught Spanish in the USA at 3 universities, and also in my country and around Mexico.我的課程內容與教學風格

The real purpose of learning a language is COMMUNICATION, therefore, my lessons are dynamic, interactive, with the emphasis on speaking and listening. However, this doesn't mean that you don't need to study grammar rules XD, or that I won't explain grammar concepts to you in English if needed. I try to use topics that are closed to my students' lifestyle. I use my own material plus songs and clips. I believe in humour and consistency as the keys for learning a language.我的教材

I love working with Carmen! She is very good at teaching you how to speak Spanish in a more colloquial manner, as well as teaching you phrases and expressions that are used all the time in Spanish in colloquial speech, but are rarely taught in traditional language classes.

Carmen is an amazingly gifted teacher who always manages to explain even the most difficult topics clearly. We do lots of different activities so her lessons are never boring. Most important of all, when I’m finding things difficult, get tongue-tied and forget nearly everything I knew, she has a way of making me smile and laugh, and that’s when I really start learning.
