I originally got a certificate as Language Instructor back in Mexico, and since then I have always being teaching. I started as private tutor but then I worked at a high school, later on at a university and also for private language schools, in Mexico and Poland.
Because I speak and understand other languages, I know which are the most common mistakes and how to fix them. In Mexico I learned a lot of grammar and structure, but at work and in all my travels I was able to experience the practical side of the language; it's because of this that I always try to balance both sides according to what my students need.我的課程內容與教學風格
In my lessons we will always learn something new in a fun and entertaining way. I always look for new topics and practical scenarios for my students to practice according to what they are looking for.
The main idea is to learn a language in a friendly environment where you feel comfortable to make questions and mistakes in order to achieve your goals.
If you are looking to practice English/Spanish for travelling, a test, an interview or just for fun I will give you some material and exercises. I combine vocabulary with grammar and common expressions for the conversation to flow as natural as possible.我的教材

Katia is an excellent teacher! I was looking for a language teacher that would diligently correct my mistakes and help direct me to improve my language skills. I didn't have any real expectations. But, I truly appreciated her attention to detail and her suggestions on how to improve my specific problem areas. She also challenged me to think and speak about topics that I haven't addressed in the past with other teachers. It was a very fun and interesting class and Katia's ability as a language teacher is exceptional. She has an outstanding grasp on vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar and she finds creative ways to help reinforce those topics throughout her class. I look forward to many more classes with Katia!

Katia is the best teacher! She is so patient, so supportive, and understanding. She knows exactly what level she needs to speak at - hard enough in order to challenge you to grow and pick up new words, but easy enough so that you can still follow the conversation and not get lost. I highly recommend her! =)

I will write this review for the benefit of all the English speakers looking to learn Spanish...
I know ~600 Spanish words and can (mostly, kind of) conjugate verbs in the present tense. Katia has a remarkable gift of being able to speak and tell great stories in a way that a beginner can understand.
So, if you are a beginning Spanish speaker and want to have a huge boost to your confidence, talk to Katia, you will feel like a genius!
