I am from London, UK. I have spent more than 8 years living and working overseas, in places like Portugal, Brazil, Thailand and Hong Kong. Before I became a teacher, I worked in international sales for 9 years. I speak Portuguese (Brazil), ride a bicycle and enjoy nature, especially cold-water swimming.我的教學經歷
I am a professional and qualified teacher of English, who has over ten years of experience. I work as an English Lecturer at a large College in London, where I receive ongoing teacher training (CPD) and support to help further develop my teaching skills. I also run a small YouTube channel on English pronunciation, produce video, print and audio teaching materials for my teaching colleagues.我的課程內容與教學風格
I offer lessons that have been designed for you in mind. I use various teaching styles and techniques depending on the student's level, ability or preference. For my 121 General English lessons, or Business English lessons, I use the communicative approach; meaning we do a lot of talking, with a focus on pronunciation. We will use an assortment of multimedia to help make the lessons and the topics memorable and fun!我的教材

I have prepared the Cambridge Proficiency Exam over the last few months with Joseph and I can only recommend him. He is very knowledgeable about what he is teaching and also gave me many useful tips and exercices for the different parts of the exam. Moreover, he is a very friendly person who is also interested in who you are. Book a lesson with him and you will not be disappointed :)

Joe was an amazing teacher. He began by understanding my goals for the lesson and took the time to learn what I wanted to achieve. The session was highly engaging and interactive - it felt like a two-way conversation rather than a lecture. He clearly explained the areas where I could improve, demonstrated pronunciation with helpful examples, and gave me practical exercises to continue developing my speaking skills. His calm and gentle teaching style made me feel very comfortable. Thank you!

Joseph is a responsible and interesting teacher. He always makes a good preparation before classes. He is patient, his pronunciation is beautiful, and he will adjust the course according to the student’s situation. Sometimes the class is interrupted duo to my network problem, he will find another time to make up the time. I’m really glad to meet Joseph in Italki.
