My name is Pietro. I studied Classics and have a PhD in Classical philology. I also worked as a researcher in Ancient Greek language and literature. At present I teach Italian, Latin and History in a high school. I also study Russian and Slavic languages and cultures. I specialise as a teacher and examiner of Italian as a foreign language (Università per stranieri di Siena, Università per stranieri di Perugia). I have lived abroad for some years and am currently based in Tuscany.

我的教學經歷

I have a long experience in teaching Italian and classical languages. I worked at school, but also in adults and foreigners classes. This allowed me to know many types of learners and to make my teaching method flexible.

我的課程內容與教學風格

Teaching method will depend on the type of student and on his preferences. As for classical languages, the approach will be rather theoretical and based on the knowledge of grammar. However, part of the lesson will be dedicated to practical activities, such as reading, translation, textual analysis. As for Italian, I follow a communicative approach based on the most recent language teaching methods. However, I will be very glad to satisfy students who want to learn more about grammar.

Teaching license in Latin and Ancient Greek - Università degli Studi di Napoli "Federico II" - 2015Abilitazione per l'insegnamento di latino, greco, italiano nel liceo classico. Habilitation and license for high school teaching in Latin, Greek, and Italian in high schools specialised in classics. After receiving my degree in classics and my Phd in classical philology, I attended an one year training, which consisted of lessons and practice in schools. This selective course is called TFA and it allowed me, after a selective competitions, to get a job as a full-time teacher in high schools.
