Hello!
I'm Petr, a certified Russian and English teacher. Welcome to my page!
A bit about me: I live in Moscow, Russia. I graduated from a linguistic university and have been teaching on Italki for 6 years.
I have a wide range of interests—history, literature, sports, movies, new cultures, and travel—so we will definitely find common topics to discuss. Over the years, I've worked with students from 20 different countries and believe that language can open any door. I'm always interested in learning about different cultures, and in our lessons, we often share stories about our countries and traditions.我的教學經歷
For students studying Russian, I offer tailored lessons from A1 to C2. If you are a beginner, we will start from scratch. Russian is my mother tongue, and I'm thrilled to teach it to you!
For students studying English, I offer both traditional and conversation-based lessons. My goal is to help you speak with confidence, fluency, and accuracy.
Many moons ago, I worked as a journalist, so I never miss an opportunity to listen to your stories or share mine—in the language you're studying, of course. I’ve even written short stories for my students to make the learning process more engaging, and I always encourage them to do the same. Want to try? Let's do it! 我的課程內容與教學風格
Personally, I prefer the communicative approach. I believe that speaking and listening are key, so we will communicate and listen to a lot of audio materials. However, we will also do a lot of reading—I believe that reading is the best way to learn new vocabulary.

My first lesson with Petr was amazing. I struggled with recognizing the Cyrillic alphabets and took a (fairly) long time to spell each word Petr gave, but he was extremely patient and waited for me to finish. Also a timely encouragement from him after my clumsy spelling. No else word to say, simply amazing. Can't wait for my second lesson with Petr once I get more familiar with the Cyrillic alphabets.
