My name is Trevor, I am from New York, and I live in Boston when I am not traveling. 大家好！我叫康明，来自纽约，平时住在波士顿。I am a native speaker of standard American English and I specialize in pronunciation and grammar. 我的英文发音标准、清晰易懂，专长是发音和语法。 I teach all levels of English and beginner/intermediate levels of Mandarin. 我教所有水平的英语还有初级和中级汉语。

I love teaching, learning languages, and meeting students from all around the world. I have experience teaching over 1,600 lessons on italki to language learners at a variety of different levels and from a variety of backgrounds. Learning a language is challenging but it can also be fun and enjoyable along the way. 我热爱教学、学习语言，也喜欢结识来自世界各地的学生。我曾在italki平台上教授过1600多节课，学生来自不同的背景，语言水平也各不相同。学习语言虽然充满挑战，但过程也可以充满乐趣和享受。

Although small, our association boasts some of the most talented emerging linguists worldwide.

I learned a ton about how to effectively format lessons to students who are struggling with acquiring new content and differentiating lesson structure to meet the needs of a wide variety of levels.
2016 - 2022
At-Home TutorI have worked as an at-home one-on-one tutor for the past three years where I help students who are struggling with their classes, or are homeschooled, or need help preparing for an upcoming standardized exam. This experience has taught me a lot about how to meet students at their specific needs and tailor lessons based on what students find most difficult and what students could use the best practice on. It also has given me practice on how to properly pace for and assess student understanding.
