I've had quite a few lessons with and Karen would highly recommend her as a teacher. Our conversations are always engaging and interesting. She definitely spends a lot of time choosing articles adapted to the level and interest of her students. A portion of her class she spends reviewing various grammar points from the conversations which I find very useful. If you are looking to progress quickly with your spoken Spanish, her teaching method will help you immensely.

Karen is an absolutely wonderful teacher. She is super super smart and interesting, and always has interesting questions to ask. She’s also very patient with me when I make errors in grammar or vocabulary, kindly supporting me with suggestions and things to work on. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Karen is amazing at asking follow up questions and coming up with interesting topics - on top of being a great person overall. She also strikes a perfect balance between learning and fun, and I genuinely look forward to every class.

My classes with Karen are always a joy. She provides an interesting article to read for each class, which is great exposure to native content that you wouldn't encounter otherwise. The topic is then weaved into conversation. During the class, she asks great follow-up questions that provide you with ample opportunity to express yourself in Spanish and exercise all the input you've acquired. At the end of each class, the errors committed are reviewed (first by the student) which again helps hone the language. Would recommend, especially if you have an interest in culture or politics!
