Finding the right teacher to work with has been a challenge for me. However, after a long search, I found a teacher - Phương! I am happy that with every lesson I have taken, my knowledge of English has deepened. We focused on grammar lessons because I needed to pass my university English exam. When I prepared on my own, my score was 3.5. However, after analyzing all the problems with Phương my score went up to 7.0. I am pleased with the result. Another thing I like about our classes is how clearly and in detail the material is presented. Also, I was given a lot of English grammar details that I never knew before. And in general, the lessons are very positive, enjoyable and interesting, and there is also a general sharing of intercultural knowledge, which I really like.

I’ve been talking to Phương for a couple months now and she is a great teacher. She really explains everything in detail and it’s also a plus that I get to know more about my culture from a native.

I started learning Vietnamese 6-7 months ago and I had 4 different teachers. Phương is by far the most skilled, prepared, interesting, fun, patient and encouraging teacher I've ever had and more importantly she teaches in the most natural way possible which none of my previous teachers did. Phuong is great! I’ve been scheduling lessons with her for six months now and I’ve grown way more comfortable speaking, reading, and writing. As a Vietnamese American who grew up with hearing Vietnamese at home but only spoke English at school, many of you can probably relate to the feeling of “I can understand but I can’t speak!” With lesson, Phuong will help you correct habits, explains the differences between regional accents, and most importantly helps you grow more confident speaking. Learning Vietnamese for me has always been a way to reconnect with my culture and I’m glad I started on this journey with Phuong!

Tớ học tiếng Việt với bạn Phương một năm rồi - cậu ý là giáo viên tốt nhất! I can't quite express how great a teacher Phương is in Vietnamese quite yet, but she is one of the best teachers I've ever had. As someone who has struggled with languages in the past, I'm so thankful for a teacher like Phương who keeps me learning and interested in Vietnamese while keeping our lessons fun and relaxed.
