Hi, I am American from New York, a native speaker of English and Spanish, and I have been teaching English and Spanish for five years.
I love to dance, laugh, swim, play soccer and capoeira, eat new foods, create art, watch interesting films, and spend time with my family.
I love meeting new people from many countries!
My dream is to explore the world, connect cultures, work with children everywhere I go, and play soccer with people in each place I visit.我的教學經歷
I've taught English and Spanish for the past five years to children, teenagers, and adults, in Mexico and New York, and also online to students worldwide, especially with students from Brazil, China, Korea, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
I focus on conversation, pronunciation, creative ways to practice, and cultural learning.
My preparation: a B.A. in American Civilization from Brown University, an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University.
I was a journalist for newspapers, magazines, and web magazines for 8 years! So I am also a strong at helping students with writing. 我的課程內容與教學風格
First, I talk to students to discover their needs. Then I design individualized lessons to best help them meet their goals. I like to use many resources for teaching: grammar websites, news articles, discussion questions, songs, and TV shows, among others.我的教材

ESL Middle school teacher, 7th and 8th gradeI designed and taught middle school ESL classes to 7th and 8th grade students at a private school in Mexico. The students were intermediate and advanced so the classes included literature and writing.
2017 - 2019
online English tutor/teacherI taught and tutored ESL students of all levels from many different countries, including practicing conversation, grammar lessons, reading and writing, creating online teaching games, and creating lessons using TV shows and movies.
2017 - 2018
English teacherI taught group and individual ESL classes for basic and intermediate students in person in Mexico. I created the curriculum and taught it as well, incorporating audios, videos, and creating real-life materials such as pretend fruit, play money, clothing, plane tickets etc.

Franziska is so helpful and caring! I have had lessons with her for more than one year now and feel that I have improved incredibly. Her style of teaching and willingness to go above and beyond make every lesson fun and enjoyable. Whenever I need anything or think something might be helpful, she is always willing to help (making homework/notecards, finding videos to practice listening, sharing resources, etc.). I highly recommend Franziska for anyone interested in having fun while gaining true language skills that really stick with you!

I was Ms. Renata's student a few years ago, but I had to terminate my writing class to concentrate on my postgraduate master's program.
I am glad that I can still be her student after all those years.
Together, we can analyse the paragraph structure, the wordings, and how to use the transition phrases, etc. Ms. Renata patiently shows me and guides me on how to do it correctly, hand by hand, with clear examples and explanations.
I believe this is an essential process to build a solid writing foundation.
One step at a time, I am confident that my English level will improve after a certain period.
