Marly is the best Spanish teacher I could have asked for! She helped me prepare for my first trip to Spain so thoroughly. She studied my itinerary and researched the best restaurants within walking distance of every place we wanted to visit, then we went over the menus together and role-played waiter-and-customer conversations. She made beautiful slides to prep me for daily situations—not just restaurants and cafés, but taxis, train stations, shopping, buying museum tickets and audio guides and more! Best of all, she taught me how to stay calm when locals switched to English and to politely ask them to speak Spanish. In Mexico and Costa Rica I was always disappointed and nervous, but in Spain I spoke full Spanish with confidence for two whole weeks! She also took and organized notes for me to review. Marly is truly the best at play-based Spanish lessons, while also making sure that my almost 8-year old is constantly reviewing grammar and learning new vocabulary, without realizing it. For the hardcore grammar exercises, like conjugations, Marly sends a worksheet to do as homework. She is truly a treasure in my daughter's life, and my daughter is always happy with her lessons, even if they are on the weekend or after a long day of other activities, since Marly is up-beat, positive, and very fast-paced (in a good way).
