I'm originally from London but started travelling as soon as I could. I’ve lived and worked in the UK, Greece, the UAE, and Japan. I’m currently based in Singapore, where I moved in August 2024.
Apart from travelling, cooking is one of my great passions. I love discovering new ingredients and different ways of using them and of course, eating the fruits of my labour!我的教學經歷
I’m a native English speaker and qualified teacher with many years’ experience teaching in England and abroad. I have a BA, Postgraduate Teaching Certificate and TESOL qualification.
I originally trained in Special Education and so I’m sensitive to the needs of each of my students. I’m good at explaining things in simple terms, reinforcing what a student has learnt and working at a pace that’s comfortable for them.我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons are personalised, which means they are specially designed for you, based on your English language level, goals and interests.
In our first lesson, we will spend time getting to know each other. I will listen carefully to you to gain an understanding of your current language skills, your goals, interests and what you would like to focus on in our lessons. I will suggest activities that will help you to develop your skills further, and together we will agree on an individualised programme for you.
During our lessons, I will address any areas of weakness you may have. I will try and correct all your mistakes and write them in the chat so that you can refer to them afterward. If ne我的教材

PGCE - Postgraduate Certificate in Education - Greenwich University, UK - 2002This certificate gives me fully qualified teacher status for students over 16 years old. In order to achieve it I studied and passed a number of academic modules and undertook teaching practice.

1977 - 1997
English Language TutorI taught English to children and adults in Athens in small groups and one-to-one lessons. I worked daily with students who were at different levels and who had different interests, goals and needs. This taught me to be flexible and adapt my strategies, methods and materials to suit each individual. It also gave me confidence in my knowledge of grammar and my ability to teach it effectively. Finally, I learned that preparation and consistency are important for a successful lesson.
1998 - 2003
Course LeaderI taught small groups of students with learning difficulties. I also designed a curriculum and course for my students. This was a valuable experience since it helped me develop effective strategies when teaching students of all levels of ability. It also helped me find ways of differentiating and personalising my delivery to suit each individual student's needs. Lastly I learned how to design and develop programmes of study. All these aspects will help me in my future teaching practice.
