I am from a town called Bournemouth on the South coast of England but I moved to Madrid a year ago!
I have lived in Spain before but also in France and Germany. I have taught students from many different countries and love learning about different cultures. I also enjoy reading, yoga and pilates, crafts, learning Spanish and I love animals.我的教學經歷
I have 17 years teaching experience in teaching all ages and all levels (over five years on Italki)
I have a lot of experience in General English. and Exam English and I have helped prepare a lot of students for exams including the IELTS and Cambridge exams.
I have taught in the UK, Spain and Germany, in schools, companies and at home.
I have a very good knowledge of grammar and also very experienced in helping students with their vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, reading and speaking skills.
Because I have learnt languages myself (French and Spanish) I totally understand what it is like to be a language learner and I hope this makes me a better teacher.我的課程內容與教學風格
I always make sure I plan my lessons very well. I want them to be interesting with a good variety of activities and materials. I also provide written feedback at the end of every lesson and at the beginning of each lesson we review mistakes from previous classes.
The structure of the lessons very much depends on you. In the first class we will talk about exactly what YOU want and then we will go from there. You may be looking for a structured course or something more relaxed, for example just conversation.
So whether it's General English or Academic English, I can help and if you would like homework I am very happy to provide that too.我的教材

English TeacherFor the last six years I have been teaching online classes. My students range from B1 to C2 level and are from many different countries. I have taught General English, conversation classes and prepared students for the B2, C1 and C2 Cambridge exams, IELTS and EOI exams.
2011 - 2017
Self - Employed English TeacherDuring these six years, I was working from home on a self-employed basis:
Teaching one-to-one classes and small groups of teenagers and adults.
Across all levels from Elementary to Advanced, including preparation for IELTS examination.
Both General English and Business English.
2009 - 2011
Self-Employed English TeacherDuring these two academic years, I was working from home on a self-employed basis. I gained further experience in:
Teaching General English to classes of children and adults aged 8 – 16 years old.
Across all levels from Elementary to Advanced, including preparation for Escuela Oficial examinations levels 4, 5 and 6.
One-to-one and small groups.
2008 - 2009
English TeacherIn this post I was teaching in a private English academy in Spain. My responsibilities included:
Teaching classes of children aged 7-9, teenagers and adults.
Across all levels from Elementary to Advanced, including Cambridge Flyers, Cambridge Starters, PET and FCE classes.
Teaching General English and in-company Business English classes.
One to one classes with teenagers and adults.
2005 - 2005
Director of StudiesReporting to the Academic Director, I was employed to help set up a new language school. Responsibilities included:
Recruitment of all teaching staff
Meeting with representatives from all the main publishers, ordering teaching material and setting up of library from scratch.
Designing of all course syllabi and teaching timetables.
Coordination of placement testing and allocation of students to classes.
Observing Teachers and organising monthly training sessions.
2002 - 2005
Coordinator and English TeacherCo-ordination of placement testing for new students, report writing and student attendance.
Training courses for teachers
Design of academic courses for the faculty.
Observation of teaching practice.
Full administrative support to the Academic Management Team
Induction and mentoring of new teaching staff and available to 30 teachers for advice relating to teaching and resources
Teaching Business and General English to multi-lingual classes.

Business English TeacherAt Linguarama, I gained substantial experience in teaching Business English at all levels and to many different business sectors. Responsibilities included

Account ManagerI joined Capita as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant in December 2005 responsible for placing Interim Managers in senior management posts. I moved across to a different area and was promoted to Account Manager.
In that role I headed a team that run complex recruitment campaigns for senior and specialist public sector roles.
