I've been studying Russian with Kseniia for a while and have been endlessly impressed by her knowledge, energy, and willingness to help. When I'm trying to understand the usage of a word or expression that I can't find a lot of information on, I always turn to Kseniia, who then explains where the word comes from, its usage(s), and any additional connotations that the word has. We talked about Zoshchenko's short stories today. I had a lot of questions about difficult words and expressions in preparation for a presentation, and Kseniia not only helped me understand what these words mean, but she also told me about their historical context and how usage has shifted over time.

Ksenia is italki's newest star teacher! One lesson with Ksenia is worth two or three with a different teacher. She knows how to teach and motivate. I was talking Russian most of the lesson.

I’ve had almost 70 lessons with Ksenia, and have found she is an excellent teacher. She is very knowledgeable and provides engaging lessons. She is also patient and kind and a good conversation partner. With her cheerful nature, she has kept me motivated all this time and has helped me to fill in many gaps in my understanding of Russian. I feel that I have made good progress. We’ve been working an intermediate level, but I think she would also be a good choice for anyone starting out.
