I offer 3 types of teaching: with textbooks/slides with images, conversation or natural language acquisition. I will also answer questions that you may have after the lesson. I can help Vietnamese learners from beginners to C1 level.
As for textbook method, I help you with your grammar, pronunciation, communication, vocabulary (both northern and southern accent, I used to live in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City), differences between English and Vietnamese, etc.
As for learning by conversation, we'll talk about many topics, especially those you like.

Such an awesome lesson! Just the tutor I have been looking for. Tutor Duncan made plenty of room for me think in Vietnamese and speak and ask questions. Tutor Duncan guided me through the pronunciation by saying it first so that I would not bother memorizing / producing incorrect pronunciation. He created opportunities for me to use what I had just learned which was great reinforcement of the new material. Very satisfied and impressed with his use of the Krashen method. Thank you!

I have taken about 130 hours of Vietnamese lessons with over a dozen tutors and teachers on iTalki -- and Duncan is one of the best. He pays attention to how I'm speaking and he'll gently make corrections when I make a mistake or he'll suggest a more natural way of saying something. I feel like I'm improving with each lesson with him.
