Qualified Portuguese/English teacher with over 30 years' experience; Portuguese examiner/moderator Born in Portugal and raised in Eswatini, I bring a multicultural perspective to language teaching. With over 30 years’ experience as a Portuguese examiner, university tutor, and bilingual translator, I specialize in helping students master Portuguese and English for exams, business, or travel. My academic background in Modern European Languages and postgraduate studies drive my passion for guiding learners of all levels. As a translator and proofreader, I offer expert support for mastering both languages. I look forward to meeting you! I've been teaching Portuguese and English to children and adults for over 30 years. I tutored Portuguese at the local university. I'm also a Portuguese examiner/moderator at a South African university. Privately, I tutor international and local students. I have successfully provided specialized corporate training in Portuguese in Eswatini. My lessons, both Portuguese and English, can be structured or more informal. I use several textbooks and adapt my lessons to the needs and objectives of my students. It's very satisfying to see students learning and improving their command of the language they are studying, so I try to make the lessons enjoyable and interesting. I recommend material that I use, or online material, as the opportunity arises. I encourage the student to attain his/her potential. It's important that students are on time for class. If they cannot attend, they need to inform me 24 hours in advance, or as soon as possible.
