I'm Aiko. I’m a certified / pro Japanese teacher living in Osaka, Japan. I love not only teaching Japanese but also learning a language myself. ✅日本語教師養成講座420時間コースの課程　終了　Completed all the requirements of Japanese Language Teacher Training Course 　 (420 hours above.) ✅日本語教育能力検定試験合格　Passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test 💕 Traveling, Hiking 　 I’ve been to many countries and I used to be a solo traveler. 💕 Studying English 　I’m still learning, so I often feel like I’m not good at it. 　Therefore, I totally understand the feelings of Japanese learners well.

我的教學經歷

I have been teaching Japanese since 2018 on italki. Since I began teaching, I’ve taught students, from beginners to advanced learners, from all over the world. Also, I earned an official certification as a Japanese teacher after completing a 420-hour course on teaching Japanese as a second language. I also teach at a Japanese conversation school in Osaka for students from all over the world. I encourage you to speak freely and I will ask you many questions so that you can improve your Japanese listening and speaking skills, and I am 100% supportive and that I will do my best to help you study!!

I believe that learning should be fun and enjoyable. I listen closely to what students want to learn and tailor the lessons to be efficient and effective. I assure students that making mistakes is part of the learning process and provide patient, positive feedback. I also believe that a comfortable learning environment is important so I am patient and understanding. I’m totally comfortable with mistakes, pauses or shyness in a student's conversation. She was very helpful in working with me on my grammar, allowing me to attempt completing a sentence on my own then chiming in with suggestions on how to make it better. It's very helpful as these are things I wouldn't be able to figure out from books and it makes me more confident to speak without worrying about my mistakes.

Aiko sensei is great! She really pushes me and makes me think about things that I wouldn't normally think about. This is great being learning the language isn't enough with Japanese, Learning the way the people think, view and interpret things allows you to understand the language better and from a new perspective. Aiko sensei has been showing me that and I am very grateful. :)
