I really appreciate the feedback she gives, her hands-off/hands-on approach depending on your preference, and her ability to ask very insightful and thoughtful questions that are meant to encourage discussions. Under her guidance I passed the C1 Goethe speaking test (with the rest to come this year). I think she also charges a very reasonable price given how in-demand German is. She also gives great insights into German culture and the cultural differences within Germany itself. I always look forward to our weekly chats and have made immense progress since I started. Sindy is a native German speaker with excellent language knowledge. Her English skills are on par with an articulate native speaker. She easily and quickly formulates translations or explanations in German or English.
She also has deep cultural understanding. Living in a variety of countries has given her insight into diverse life experiences. She can intelligently discuss nearly any topic. Sindy is cosmopolitan, yet down-to-earth and friendly.
What really sets her apart is her conversational fluidity. She has a friendly, open demeanour that facilitates easy conversation. She prompts with insightful questions when relevant but always allows the student to do the bulk of the talking. She makes German conversation practice pure pleasure.
