Olá! My name is Zé and I'm in my thirties (time flies!). I currently live in the coutryside, although I've lived in multiple places in Portugal with very different environments, like Lisbon, Porto, Trás-os-Montes and the southwestern coast. I was born in one of the Azores islands, so I love the sea and traveling in general.
If we get to know each other, besides sayings and curiosities about Portuguese culture in general, I can share with you a lot of recommendations of places to visit here in Portugal - and delicious local food to try, of course!我的教學經歷
I have a degree in Communication Sciences, I'm a certified teacher and I come from a family linked to teaching. In addition, I also worked for several years as a journalist and host/tour guide at a wine estate.
Step by step, at your own pace, I will give you the skills to be fluent in Portuguese, which is the fifth most spoken language in the world. Become one of the 250 million people who speak it every day!
Before going into detail about my teaching style, I should add that I do not currently teach children or young teenagers. It is a skill I still need to develop, as I do not feel I would be able to teach them effectively at this point.我的課程內容與教學風格
From my experience, the easiest way to learn a new language is by having a conversation and and recreate dialogues that students might face in their daily lives. By doing that, you will be challenged to apply the vocabulary you've learned and to build sentences in different contexts.
For example, we will recreate environments that you will face in a daily basis, like going to the supermarket or simply having the normal conversation of people who get to know each other until they become friends.
I can also provide grammar books and many other materials we can use during our lessons. Above all, I’m adaptable and open to focus on the learning method that you prefer and that suits you best.我的教材

José is an awesome teacher. He's very informative and has a lot of material that he has readily available from his experience teaching. He has documents that lay out and explain exactly what I'm trying to work out in my head, which is super helpful. He's also very easy to talk to, so whether the lesson is more conversational or if you have certain questions about the language, José can walk you through it.

Highly recommend Zé as he is not only a patient teacher, but also encouraging and has interesting materials, information and personal anecdotes that he shares during lessons that allow you to learn more about Portugal and about himself as a Portuguese citizen. He offers a healthy balance of speaking and listening, and I like going over our chat notes to reinforce what I learned. He also speaks clearly (at what seems like) his natural pace which is not too fast. I feel comfortable interrupting him to ask him to repeat words or phrases that I did not understand, and he clarifies them on the chat box. He also pays attention to your pronunciation which is so important in learning this difficult language! Obrigada, Zé.

Fun, effective, interesting, and very enjoyable lesson. We talked about the regional differences in dialect and accent and I got to learn many expressions. Every time I get to know so many interesting things about the country and language. We solved my doubts in grammar and expression. I receive material to learn more about the things we talked about. Zé is just the best teacher!
