I am a friendly and approachable English teacher from London who has lived and worked in a variety of countries. I am currently living in Italy and have been teaching English there since 2018 in state middle and high schools, as well as in private language schools. In the public middle and secondary schools, I prepare teenagers for their Cambridge FCE, PET and Key exams, and kids for their YL exams. I also examine these levels as a Cambridge Speaking Examiner. I myself am a keen language learner and speak a further 4 languages - French, German, Dutch and Italian. I love to share my passion for language learning by helping my students to excel and achieve their own objectives.我的教學經歷
As a teacher I am positive, encouraging and dedicated. I am thorough in my approach, whilst still ensuring my lessons feel light and approachable. At my school, I am a popular teacher not just for my outgoing personality but primarily for the results and progress that my students achieve under my guidance. My lessons are fun and friendly, and leave my students with a motivated attitude. I love the 'eureka' moments in my students when they fully grasp a concept we have been working on, but above all I enjoy the two-way interaction and the moments shared. My lessons focus on the individual needs of the students, and are tailored around a communicative approach. Grammar is also taught using a communicative approach in which I convey and check understanding through a variety of methods. In conversation classes, I make use of lots of resources including current and relevant video clips and news articles, or I incorporate projects or games relating to a particular language point, transporting it off the page and making it more three-dimensional. I like to have a lot of fun in lessons, and convey my own personality and passion for language learning so that my students can feel at ease. CV showing I have worked with kids since 2018 - British School Group - 2024I have been teaching in person in schools with young kids and teens since 2018, in Italy Bologna. Including British School Group (where the kids were aged 5 and above). I have also taught since 2020 on italki and had great feedback as a teacher of kids. Last year, I worked at Apple Tree English for one year, with children aged 8-9.

Speaking Examiner Young Learners - Cambridge English - 2023I am a qualified speaking examiner for Cambridge English, for Young Learners and above. I am also an invigliator. Without teaching experience of those levels, it is impossible to become an examiner.

I had a great lesson with Emily! She is very friendly and really understands what I need to improve my English. She speaks with a clear and standard British accent, which makes it easy to follow and learn. I also enjoyed learning about British culture during our conversation.
