Hello everyone! My name is Amélie, I'm a writer and hold a masters degree in comparative literature. I am an expert in Latin American queer literature and culture. As of fall 2025, I am an official member of the Hyperpolyglot Association (HYPIA). I am passionate about languages, literature, linguistics, history, travelling, and more! The animal that describes me best is the parrot, since I am talkative and a great imitator! I take pride in welcoming the LGBTQ+ community and BIPOC communities, and I facilitate inclusion for refugees in the Montreal area. Reduced fees can be discussed for marginalized groups, as well as for group lessons.我的教學經歷
I have been teaching for over four years now, and I specialize in teaching French to immigrants. I have worked in the Chamber of Commerce of Montreal, in the "J'apprends le français" program, a program which allows small business owners and workers to learn French at their place of work. This program allowed me to perfect my teaching style, as well as appear on TV and podcasts to promote our approach. As of fall 2026, I also offer Spanish and English conversation lessons at a competitive price. 我的課程內容與教學風格
Over the years, I have developed my own language-learning principles. Here are a few :
1. Consistency over duration : small study sessions have better effects than long tiring sessions.
2. Repetition over passive reading : if the words are not repeated and LIVED, they are never learned.
3. Emotional incentive. Who utters the words you are learning? Maybe a loved one, an artist you love, a compelling character in a movie. A strong incentive fuels memory.
By booking a lesson, you will be introduced to all those principles and more. I focus on practice and repetition and I am goal-oriented. I take every situation seriously and I adapt to each student's needs.我的教材
