I am a passionate Kiwi (from New Zealand) guide and language tutor, with a keen interest in language, culture, and nature. With fluency in English, French, and Spanish, and proficiency in several other languages, I take pleasure in interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and helping them achieve their language learning objectives. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I can support you in your language learning journey with tailored teaching and guidance. As an educator, I take pride in being patient, kind, and considerate towards my students. I always strive to create a supportive and comfortable learning environment that inspires my students to learn and grow. I am deeply invested in my students' progress and am sincerely passionate about helping them achieve their language learning goals. As someone who has gone through the process of learning a foreign language myself, I truly empathise with my students and understand the effort it takes to achieve fluency. As a language tutor with a linguistics background, I prioritise pronunciation, idioms, and grammar in my teaching. I tailor my approach to each student's unique needs, skill level, and learning preferences. I identify areas of improvement by taking detailed notes and provide a comprehensive overview of their strengths and weaknesses. I focus on phonetics to help students sound natural and make lessons enjoyable to motivate learners to develop language skills and converse confidently with native speakers. J'apprends le français avec Regan depuis mars 2020. Je suis très heureux qu’il soit mon professeur de français car il connaît bien la langue française. Il est aussi attentif aux besoins de ses étudiants. Je suis toujours à l'aise lorsque je parle français avec lui. En résumé, il est un professeur de français sympathique, amical et tout à fait compétent. Je n'hésite pas à le recommander à ceux qui veulent sérieusement apprendre le français. I have taken a number of lessons with Regan and will continue to do so as he is an excellent French teacher. He is very invested in your progress and wants to see you improve in order to achieve your goals. As a former French learner, he understands the difficulties and challenges you may experience when learning a language. Regan spends the time to correct your pronunciation and teach you the way French is actually spoken and understood. I highly recommend him as a French teacher.

I have been studying French with Regan for over 2 years. At our first lesson, I didn’t know a single word of French, and am now able to converse confidently in the language. Regan is incredibly skilled at teaching the technical details of the language, and is a passionate “language nerd” himself. He is very casual and relaxed during lessons, and never makes me feel dumb for making a mistake. I’m grateful to have gained both proficiency in French, and also a good friend in Regan.
