Originally from east London, I’ve lived in Poland, Russia, Nicaragua, and Guatemala- fuelling my love for languages and cultures. Now based in England, I’m a post-graduate DELTA-qualified teacher with a Master’s in Applied Linguistics, specialising in creative, student-tailored English lessons, for both professionals and art and design enthusiasts alike.
A disability shifted my pace, but not my curiosity: I explore villages and nature on my trike, craft jewellery, sew and upcycle, and devour fantasy/horror stories. This adaptability mirrors my teaching—whether you’re polishing pronunciation, discussing films, or need flexible, expert guidance.

I'm TEFL-qualified, with a postgraduate Cambridge DELTA and an MEd in Applied Linguistics. I've taught EFL for many years at university level, as well as in adult education and in private language schools. I have also worked as an examiner, project manager, and craftswoman. Nowadays, I run both a teaching and a jewellery business from home.

All classes include plenty of speaking to build your confidence, focussing on grammar, vocab, pronunciation or a particular skill in any one lesson.
Example approaches/activities:
- role plays, discussions, problem-solving activities etc.
- vocabulary exercises exploring words, phrases, collocations, idioms.
- inductive guided discovery where grammar rules are inferred.
- immersion rather than translation activities from Q&A and dictation, to visuals and extensive examples, to speaking and listening activities.
- real life tasks, such as planning an event or creating a presentation.

Project Manager and TeacherThis involved starting and managing a community project to get marginalised groups back into education. I did outreach to various homeless hostels and ran classes from a local community centre (literacy/ESOL).
