My name is Lynn. I am a native English speaker from The United States of America. I have been teaching English professionally since 2018. I started teaching English in Phuket, Thailand where I taught English and Math for EP6/1. I moved to teaching online with an exclusively Chinese platform where I have taught over 8100 private English lessons with children from China!我的教學經歷
If you aren't making mistakes, you aren't trying.
I LOVE mistakes! Language is so much fun. It feels like magic when you are able to speak to another person in another language and they know what you are saying! I want all of my students to feel that. Too many students fear making a mistake because we are conditioned to feel humiliation when we are wrong.
Not In My Class! Humiliation is NOT allowed. I encourage each and every student to try their best and know they will always get better, as long as they try. Making mistakes is apart of the learning process and should be embraced. My classes are fun, enjoyable, relaxed and stress-free. Students learn to build confidence through mistakes.我的課程內容與教學風格
As a teacher, I personalize each lesson plan according to the four pillars of language-learning: reading, writing, listening and speaking. No two students are alike and therefore no two lessons can be the same. I have a keen sense of identifying where a student needs to improve in regards to the four pillars so my student has the best chance of developing a language in a well-rounded manner.
I focus on each of the four pillars in every class, but I do highly emphasize on speaking and listening skills as these tend to be the weaker pillars for most language learners, including myself! I offer optional homework, quizzes and a community Facebook group to practice your skills outside of class.我的教材

English TeacherI worked exclusively with French high school students to support and enhance their English language learning. I collaborated closely with local teachers to co-plan lessons and lead classroom activities. My responsibilities included facilitating small group discussions, assisting with pronunciation and speaking fluency, and developing interactive exercises that reflected both linguistic goals and American cultural themes.
2018 - 2019
TeacherI taught 6th grade (11 yrs old) English and Math. I worked with students in the English Program (EP) where 40% of their classes were taught entirely in English. Students worked on speaking, listening, writing and reading. Students were tested periodically to identify growth patterns and prepare students for secondary education.
2018 - 2021
Private English TeacherWith Dada, I have taught over 8100 private English classes with students aging 3-17 years old. I worked individually with students on reading, grammar, listening and speaking. Together we identified areas of which to improve upon and work together in a fun and welcoming environment. Students never left a class without speaking - or having fun!
2019 - 2021
Adjunct English InstructorAt Forsyth Technical Community College (FTCC), I taught ESL in a traditional classroom setting where students worked together to improve their conversational English skills. Students were introduced to new grammar and vocabulary in every class. Audio and video presentations are frequently utilized to introduce real life situations in a controlled environment where speed could be slowed down and sped up. This was a multi-level class.
