Hello! My name is Hannah, and I grew up in California, in the United States. I love to meet people from all over the world, both travelling and at home. I am very friendly and easygoing, and I have been told that I can make friends with anyone! I am excited to meet new students and learn about your lives and perspectives. I lived for over a year in Seoul, South Korea, and I know what it feels like to adapt to a new language and culture.我的教學經歷
I have a CELTA teaching certification, and over 5 years of ESL industry experience. My strengths as a teacher include flexibility, creativity, and an ability to think quickly. I am patient and understanding in all my teaching. I have studied Korean and French, so if you are a native in either of these languages, I have an extra basis for understanding your unique challenges.我的課程內容與教學風格
My goal as a teacher is to make you feel welcome in the world of English!
Conversation lessons start with a topic (for example childhood), about which I will have a list of conversation questions prepared. I take notes on grammar mistakes and send a list of mistakes and corrections after the class. I introduce related vocabulary throughout the lesson. Writing homework is optional.
I also can base lessons around other materials such as a video or article.

ESL TeacherTaught and managed 6-8 classes a day of up to nine students, with levels ranging from beginning phonics to college preparation. Responsible for the timely creation of highly organized class material, weekly class schedules, daily quizzes, bimonthly review tests, and bimonthly in-depth progress reports under tight timelines. Edited and wrote new educational material for the school.
2016 - 2017
Private TutorTaught students one-on-one with skill levels ranging from absolute beginner to proficient. Designed, wrote, and edited customized curriculum and lesson plans for immigrant students.
2015 - 2016
English Conversation AssistantAssisted instruction of adult foreign students. Discussed difficult cultural concepts with foreign students. Exercised sensitivity regarding the customs of other cultures.
2019 - 2020
ESL InstructorCreated a safe and welcoming classroom space for up 20 teen and adult international students
from various countries; mediated cultural misunderstandings between students.
