I couldn't live without music. I love to listen to a variety of genres (my favourite is prog), and play guitar and piano.
Another essential thing for me is being able to run and to generally be active. At times, I can train quite seriously and strive to run fast and long, but also really enjoy casual running through nature.
Environmentalism, sustainability, animal and human rights are quite important to me, and this dictates my food and lifestyle choices.
Since graduating from Masters a few years ago, I have spent most of my time living in or travelling around Asia. I miss Australia, but also appreciate the opportunities I get to learn and experience more about the world.我的教學經歷
I have just completed my second year of teaching in an international high school in Vietnam as an English and science teacher.
Back in Australia I also worked tutoring high school students one-on-one (online and in person), and coaching athletics to young kids (5-15 years).
Prior to this, I had worked in other fields including IT, hospitality and retail. I believe my varied life experience equips me to be more familiar with different perspectives and goals which students may have. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style is to be very approachable, understanding and patient. I like to remain a lifelong learner myself, so I understand what it is like to study and try to find the best strategies to help my students achieve their learning goals.
My lessons are ideally very casual and conversational. Specific questions are welcomed. If there is an area which you need help on, I can gather materials to assist. I may also pick up on areas of weakness and provide specific materials or strategies to address them. I have some experience with IELTS test preparation, studying texts and research. Although I enjoy a break from the structure of my day job to teach more informally on iTalki.我的教材
