¡Hola! I’m a Spanish tutor who believes language learning should feel like chatting with a friend—calm, patient, and full of cultural curiosity. My background in electronics engineering and love for robotics taught me problem-solving, but my true passion is bridging worlds through Spanish.
Sports (especially squash and hiking!) shaped my disciplined mindset—I bring that same focus to helping students conquer fluency fears. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me gaming, exploring nature, or swapping stories with learners worldwide. Let’s turn your Spanish goals into victories—one conversation at a time!我的教學經歷
I am naturally encouraging and supportive through my style of teaching. I am the number one fan about personalized classes like in italki, because through this, the teacher and the student can relate each other deeper, I can create a friendly space where points of interest are found, and so the shyness breaks to increase the confidence and make the classes a comfortable environment full of learning and fun. I have been teaching spanish in other online platforms during almost a year, I love the experience to share with other people about our cultures, where we can find very interesting things that can open our minds to new possibilities. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style is based in natural conversation, I like to take the students to realistic circumstances where they have to communicate by themselves. If you don’t like grammar a lot, that is not a problem, we can go through a structured program where you can practice interesting repetitive expressions used during natural conversations. But if you want grammar, we also can go through it. I am flexible, I can adapt to your learning style, independently if you are a theory, visual, pragmatic or funny learner, I’m here to fit into your needs. During our conversations I will give you feedbacks and I will be focusing in your pronunciation, fluency and well-constructed sentences. Contact me!我的教材

Joan is the best Spanish teacher on italki! My daughter and I tried a few teachers but narrowed it down to only using Joan. Since just strictly doing lessons with Joan in a few short months we are able to carry on lengthy conversations in Spanish, not just your average “Hi, nice to meet you” stuff. We had a bathroom renovation that took awhile and I was able to speak with a worker daily who only spoke Spanish. I really can’t recommend Joan enough. He is patient, kind, helpful, and motivating. Each class is filled with great content, with a lot of talking in Spanish and kind corrections. If you are serious about learning Spanish then you really need to do classes with Joan.

I always enjoy my lessons with Joan. He is fun, relaxed, and we talk about everything - music, culture, sports, politics, the weather, etc. And he will correct grammatical errors with precision and examples, but always in a gentle way.
