When I first saw Rorie's introduction video, I felt that he could be a really good teacher and that I could trust him to work with me to improve my English, especially my speaking skills. It was just a hunch, so I decided to book a 30 minute trial session with him to see if I was right, and whether his teaching methods and the way he runs the sessions would work well for me. Well... after our first two sessions, I ended up buying a package of five extra sessions with him. He genuinely cares about my weak points. He gives me advanced expressions instead of the simple ones I usually use. He also asks about my interests and what topics I like to talk about. Talking to him is super easy, he's able to create a relaxed, comfortable, yet productive learning environment. I'm new to italki, and I truly feel lucky to have ended up taking lessons with Rorie.

Rorie was incredibly patient and explained words and expressions clearly, sometimes even using Spanish when necessary, which really helped me understand. His teaching style is calm, supportive, and very effective.
