Hi! My name is Katherine, and I have been a professional English as a Foreign Language teacher for more than 20 years. I'm from the US, but now I live in Lisbon, Portugal. I've traveled extensively and have learned a bit of Spanish, French and now Portuguese -- so I really understand how challenging it is to learn a different language! I have taught English to young children to adults, from beginning to advanced levels. In addition, I have taught all the standardized tests (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT), so I can also help with that. I love reading, films, exercise, and sharing my love of the crazy, difficult English language with others!我的教學經歷
I love my job teaching English because every student is different -- with different levels, goals, and ways of learning! I received my Master's degree in Education from the University of Michigan and my Bachelor's in English from Connecticut College. I can teach informal conversation to planned lessons using textbooks -- whatever method the student prefers. I've taught many different subjects, but my specialties are English, reading, and writing. I generally prefer to use task-based lessons that will have a meaningful impact on a student's life. My lessons are usually informal and fun -- because I know that's the best way to learn!我的教材
