Ciao! I'm a Milanese with a degree in foreign language literature and have a passion for linguistics.
I enjoy learning about other people's languages and cultures and I'm a language learner myself (so I know the struggle!).

I'm easy going and I value effort, so no need to stress. I generally don't assign homework for my conversation classes but if you'd like me to just tell me and I'll have something ready for you shortly after the lesson.
🚫 Note that I do not offer lessons aimed at children / younger students nor any translation services 🚫
My lesson are centered on natural conversations. I'm going to help you find the best way to form sentences, expand your vocabulary and express ideas. The goal is to speak Italian as much as possible or even exclusively. We can let the conversation lead us or you can tell me in advance if you have specific requests for topics you'd like to explore.
I think making mistakes is the best way to learn so if you want I can send you a review sheet after the lesson.

Flavia and I have completed almost 60 lessons together. She is a patient, kind, and expert Italian teacher.
Flavia is fluent in Italian and English, but we hardly ever talk in English in our lessons. She does a great job of tailoring the lesson to my skill level, and speaking in Italian as much as possible.
She is also great at increasing the difficulty level of the lesson as I have gained more experience with the language. She makes it just a little bit harder each time, by introducing new words or grammar concepts, that challenge me just enough, but still leave me feeling accomplished at the end of the lesson.
Lessons on iTalki are the number one reason for my improved ability to speak Italian, and I attribute most of that to Flavia and her incredible teaching skills.
If you are looking for an Italian teacher, don't hesitate anymore, choose Flavia!

Flavia is so talented at listening, knowing when to step in and provide vocabulary or grammar tips, and what to share from her own experience. I really enjoy everything she shares because she is a very thoughtful, insightful, and intelligent person who is so curious about life. I enjoy every lesson with her and learn so much!

Flavia and I have real conversations. Whatever is happening in my life or around me I bring up and we discuss. It's just like any conversation you'd have with your friends out in the world.... only in Italian. It's lovely and also challenging. She provides verbal corrections as needed and also puts them in the chat. After our conversazione she sends me a pdf with notes. It's great! This is real life learning and I love it!
