My hobbies and interests include bird watching, creating upcycled furniture and décor items, square dancing, hiking, and learning about sustainable living and building.
I have travelled to about 37 countries, and worked in 6 of them. Two of the places that I most enjoyed living in were Taipei, for the fast-moving city life, and Arco, in Northern Italy, for the beautiful scenery and friendly people. My favourite ways to travel are by train and motorcycle.
I enjoy talking about travel, nature, the environment, sustainable building, crafts and design, and dog training.我的教學經歷
I have more than 15 years' English teaching experience. I teach English because I know the joy and satisfaction of being able to communicate with someone from a foreign country, and I want to share that. I am patient, humorous, flexible and creative. I have plenty of practice in working out what people want to say, even if they are only just beginning to communicate in English.
I communicated with people in Russia, Italy, Germany, China and Taiwan because I tried hard to learn vocabulary and to pronounce words properly, and because I am not scared to make mistakes. Nearly all of the people I spoke to also didn't care about my mistakes - and none of them laughed at me!我的課程內容與教學風格
I know that I learn best when I am relaxed, having fun, and talking about topics that interest me, so I aim to help my students relax and have fun. I would like to know what interests you.
I can customise lessons according to students' needs, for example I would prepare videos and conversation topics for a student who is a confident reader but needs to improve his / her speaking and listening skills.我的教材
