I just finished my lesson number 16 with Deya. Kurdish is not an easy to learn language, at least not for me -a latin based speaker. But, I am having an awesome time together with this young, fresh but very well prepared teacher. I am touched by her commitment to the job, she takes it seriously and I admire that. She helps a lot during the lessons, she s patient, she repeats things many times until I can fix it into my memory. We share things from our countries sometimes and this helps me to have a better understanding of the Kurdish culture and life. I find that important and it gives me curiosity to know more. Deya wrote her own planning for the lessons and she can be flexible if your schedule is chaotic, which is highly appreciated. Sometimes I forget things, but Deya encourages me -she gives me hope and makes me wanna continue this awesome process . Well done, Deya ! Zor supas for your help! To mamostayeki zor bashit!

Deya's class is great. The content is well organised, interesting and useful. I was originally planning to only take a couple of lessons so that I can communicate better with Kurdish clients but after taking Deya's class, I think I'm probably going to sign up for a longer course with her! Thanks!

I had my first trial lesson today with Dia and found her to be very accommodating and helpful. Iv since booked 10 more lesson's with dia

I myself am a teacher and believe me I know it when I see a good one. Deya has been extremely motivated, energetic, polite from minute 1. She responded my messages quickly, prepared a lesson based on what I needed and the lesson was very interactive. I highly recommend her to those who would like to study Soranî and/or plan a trip to Kurdistan, Sulaymaniyah in particular. Zor supast akam!

As a linguist and anthropologist I feel lucky to have a Kurdish tutor like Dia, who uses English adeptly in explaining the vocabulary and grammar, and shares aspects of Kurdish beyond the language itself. Her understanding of the language and ability to communicate, illustrate, and encourage makes it always a joy to have lessons with her.
