I am unsure if this is my 4th or 5th session with Sakina Sensei. She is a great teacher and knowledgeable. She's polite and professional towards her students. I had taken a Japanese class before when I was in community college so I'm the type of person who is used to classroom settings. Sakina Sensei's class feels that way for me. She really helps me review a ton of material that I had forgotten from the Genki textbook. She also gives notes and vocab that you learned in that session, which is really helpful btw if you are self studying most of the week. There's also homework from the Genki workbook. What I also like is that she will tell you your weaknesses and what you need to improve upon. Like on mine a while back she said I need to read more and improve how I read out loud. So I did, and I can see the improvement in today's lesson when she made me read examples and scenarios from the book. I highly recommend Sakina Sensei. She cares a lot about her students goals.

You’d be hard pressed to find a Japanese teacher as dedicated and helpful as Sakina sensei. Not only does she create some of the most useful content to teach, but she is kind, patient and incredibly knowledgeable not just of nihongo, but some many subjects relating to Japan. Very generous to her students with her knowledge and a teacher that cares about the language journey. 本当にありがとうさき先生、次のレッスンが楽しみ！

I have now completed the two Genki textbooks with Sakina-sensei and feel like I am gradually improving my Japanese. I can definitely read and listen much better, but I need to keep working on my speaking and writing 😅 So I will keep working with Sakina-sensei! She is always encouraging, attentive and very patiently and gently corrects my mistakes. She always explains things clearly - plus we have a lot of fun! I am looking forward to passing JLPT4 and learning kanji 教えてくれてありがとうございました, さきなさん！
