What an excellent teacher! Jackson is patient, disciplined, and generous with his time and resources. I've learned so much about Brazilian language and culture by studying with him. What I like most about Jackson is that he pushes you to express yourself in Portuguese and corrects you gently but consistently. Although he speaks impeccable English (better than many native speakers!), he never lets you slip into using English as a crutch. He gives you plenty of extra materials that you can use to practice listening and reading. And, on top of all this, he's one of the most gracious language teachers I've ever encountered. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in improving their Portuguese, especially if you are just getting started in exploring this beautiful language.

I enjoy my lessons with Jackson because we always discuss topics that I am interested in, which I didn’t anticipate when I started taking lessons. I look forward to incorporating subjects I enjoy into our learning.
