▶ I am Faye from Beijing, China. I graduated from Sichuan University, majoring in journalism.
▶ I used to be a reporter and was also a host for a college student radio show. I am a certified international Chinese teacher and have received a GPST-IMT certificate issued by the United Nations.
▶ I speak standard mandarin and have achieved a professional level on the National Mandarin level test.
▶ I also have five years of teaching experience.

In my class, I try not to translate everything directly but to use gestures, pictures, movie clips, and games to help you understand the meaning of Chinese.

my classes are fun and relaxed, with a combination of singing, stories, props, and body

Great lesson with Faye today! Today we talked about Tang Dynasty poetry, with a focus on the life of poet Wang Bo. Faye always comes amazingly prepared, and I appreciate that she's able to create engaging lessons that blend my interests pertaining to China's history and culture, while teaching me a lot about the language! I also love that Faye is really great about explaining new words in concepts in Chinese using Chinese. We rarely need to use English when I don't know a new word. She's kind, engaging, and patient. Great teacher!

Faye recently started lessons with my kid. She's good at making the lesson engaging, at speaking only Mandarin but making it understandable, even for a beginner, and she picks up quickly and adapts the lesson when a concept is above his head. Thank you!
