I can *highly* recommend Jakob as a teacher! He basically taught me how to speak German—from level A2-B1 to my current level of B2-C1. He has all the qualities you could want in a teacher—he is pedagogical, patient, organized and - last but not least - a very nice and fun conversation partner. I am infinitely grateful to people like Jakob who excel at what they do and that so always with a smile on their face.

Jakob is a fantastic teacher and I can't recommend him enough. He creates a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that makes it easy to speak freely and make mistakes without feeling self-conscious. He always explains things with clear, real-life examples that actually stick. What I also really appreciate is that at the end of every class we go through the mistakes I made together and correct them, which feels very structured and is incredibly helpful for making real progress. If you're looking for a teacher who is both genuinely kind and professionally excellent, Jakob is your person.

Jakob is my German teacher since one year now and we saw each other weekly. I think this is the first review I write him. I am a doctor, trying to learn German for work and for my every day life, and I can not recommend Jakob enough!!! He is very patient and organise, and he knows how to explain difficult german topics in a way that is really simple and easy to understand. He helped me with the grammar, the vocabulary and with the speaking. I hope he will teach German for the years to come, because it took a while to find a good German teacher here on italki and I am always looking forward to our lessons. Also I am quite sure I took all the work interviews I went to because of him helping me with them.

I've had a very good experience with Jakob so far. He always makes sure that you speak most of the time yet is also able to keep the conversation alive and engaging. He sends material for me to look at before the class which we then discuss which helps me expand my vocabulary in many different areas and then we review my mistakes at the end.
