Elodie is an excellent teacher. We have an excellent rapport and her method suits me well: our conversations focus on topics of mutual interest and it is the content of these conversations drives the learning. In terms of progress, I had a basic level of French after two years of study in high school and in college, but this was not enough to go beyond simple phrases and questions during the four months I lived in France. That was when I started lessons with Elodie. After two years of talking with Elodie roughly once a week, I found that my comprehension and ability to speak had improved. During my most recent visit to France, I could understand the conductor on the TGV speaking a million miles an hour and was able to converse in French with locals in non-touristed locations. In summary, I highly recommend working with Elodie. It has really helped and has been very enriching. If you are interested in improving your conversational French skills, I highly recommend working with Elodie.
