Hi everyone! My name is Aleksey, I'm a native Russian speaker from Saint Petersburg. My interests include Russian literature, culture and history. I often travel around the country and visit historical and cultural landmarks. I graduated from Moscow State University. I have been working on Italki for over 4 years and have experience communicating with different personalities from different countries. Besides Italki, I've been working at the Herzen University in St. Petersburg, teaching Russian to students. My main goal in the classroom is to improve the students' ability to speak Russian. I have prepared some of my students to take the TRKI exam. I have prepared some of my students to take the TRKI exam, and a couple of years ago I myself received the C1 (CILS) certificate in Italian. Usually, most of the exercises in my lesson (grammar, vocabulary, conversational exercises) relate to one specific topic. For example, travel, family, nature protection, etc. If a student wants to speed up their progress I give them homework.

Another excellent lesson. Aleksei always strikes a great balance between useful corrections and feedback, and letting conversation flow. Such an enjoyable way to practice my Russian.

Easy to work with and creative. Provided a fun and engaging exercise which immediately made me realize which aspects of my Russian needed improvement. After the exercise, we reviewed where I made mistakes, and he explained in various ways, giving numerous examples, how I could improve my skills. I felt at ease all the way through and learned some new things in just one 30-minute lesson.

I have been working with him for over three years at this point. I have had a lot of Russian teachers since I started studying the language over a decade ago, and Aleksey is the best. He is great at getting me to talk; he uses really interesting materials; he is flexible with his lesson plans, he can talk about a variety of topics, and, to top it off, he's got a sense of humor.

We had similar activities as last time, as I had requested. It was as usual a fun experience.

I like Aleksey' s approach it is very relaxed and I like how he uses unusual stories and sentences to help you notice the grammar more without bogging you down with too many grammar drills. Every lesson he reviews language we use in every day conversation, which is very useful.
