I’m Edison, born and raised in the Philippines. I hold a business degree and a TEFL certification, and I work as a geospatial analyst. After four years in the corporate world, I moved to Europe to teach—first as an English assistant in Madrid, then privately—and later lived in the Czech Republic and Lithuania. I’m a multilingual learner: self‑studied French & Spanish; conversational Italian & Portuguese; travel‑ready Russian & Czech; and now tackling Indonesian. Outside teaching, I play guitar, drums, harmonica, and piano. I also love basketball, chess, street photography, writing, and travel—I’ve visited over 40 countries.我的教學經歷

Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about what we'd been doing over the past couple weeks, and then we did a roleplaying exercise in Tagalog where I pretended to be the owner of a startup company attending an IT/business conference. Maraming salamat!

In this lesson, we ended up doing translation practice from English to Tagalog, which really showed me my weak points and where I needed to improve. Edison was very patient despite me struggling a lot! Maraming salamat ulit!
