My name is Michael Anderson and I am a certified and registered teacher from New Zealand. My teaching subjects are English, Social Studies and History. I have been teaching for twelve years in traditional school settings and non-traditional settings.
I absolutely love travel. I recently travelled the Americas from Mexico to Peru. I have worked in China and England, and I have visited over 30 countries across all continents except Antarctica.
My favourite things include sports, new cultures, stimulating conversation, television and movies, and fast food.
I am currently living in Germany teaching English and Global Politics我的教學經歷
I began my teaching career in a local high school teaching senior History and junior Social Studies for five years. While playing cricket in England for two seasons I also taught Key Stage 3 History close to London. After this I moved to China and taught senior English and oral English to junior students. I have already been teaching online to children, teenagers and adults for over five years now, sometimes solo and sometimes together with a full time teaching job, and I absolutely love it.
Previously I worked as an IB History and English teacher for a school in Ambato, Ecuador, and I did this remotely due to the Covid world.
Now I teach English and IB Global Politics in Germany. 我的課程內容與教學風格
I have taught all ages across many disciplines. This has ranged from small children and having fun with songs and learning vocabulary, to teaching grammar and essays to senior students and adults. Above all though my teaching style is to relate to you and the world we know to help gain understanding. My teaching style is upbeat and fun. I can be super slow, structured and deliberate, or I can be conversational and free-form. Whatever your desire I can adapt to no problem.

Great informal conversation class! Michael told me interesting stories about traveling to other countries and his life and he asked me interesting questions to support the conversation and get to know me more. At the end of the class he let me ask him any questions that I wanted to and I got a good answer from him. It was nice to meet him and it was a nice conversational class because Michael is nice, energetic, fun and engaging teacher! I hope to have a conversation with him again soon!
