My name is Biljana. I was born in Skopje, Macedonia, and this is my current city of residence. I graduated as a teacher of Macedonian Language and South Slavic literature and have a masters in Macedonian Studies and Communication. I have worked in editing and proofreading, translating between English and Macedonian, journalistic writing and face to face teaching Macedonian as a native and a foreign. I published some of my research papers in several linguistic journals in the country. I have dedicated myself actively to distance teaching Macedonian, as a full time job, at 2019. Since 2021 I have been also working as an A1-C2 assessor for Macedonian as a foreign language.我的教學經歷
As a teacher, face to face or distance, I'm focused on delivering customized, individually tailored lessons to reach student's personal needs. So, the first thing I want to understand is why the student wants or needs to learn Macedonian. This helps me tailor my lessons choosing appropriate teaching strategies and creating appropriate learning resources. The real excitement comes from the fact that learning the language, you can learn a lot about the customs, food, history, literature, film, music, art and about people's everyday life. I try to incorporate this in my lessons.我的課程內容與教學風格
A preliminary test or a simple conversation gives me an idea about student's needs, but also student's weaknesses and strengths in language (when not an absolute beginner). Having known this better helps me create lessons and resources (pdf, ppt, text files, flash cards, tests and quizzes), choose images, audios and videos, normally based on a topic, which also cover the parts of grammar that student is weak in or hasn’t learned yet. Topic-based lessons help build vocabulary, introduce phrasal expressions and strengthen grammar skills, giving at the same time a context for a lot of conversation.我的教材
