My name is Matthew and I am a 23 year-old student living in Mexico. I am currently studying linguistics and English. I have always had a passion for languages and I spend a large amount of time every day learning foreign languages. I can speak 3 languages (English, Afrikaans and Spanish) and am hoping to add more to that list in the future. I know what it takes to learn a foreign language and I have developed my own method method that I am sure you can benefit from as well. I love listening to music, playing guitar and spending time with my 3 cats.

我的教學經歷

I am a very relaxed person and I believe that in order to be a good teacher, you need to make the lessons enjoyable and completely without stress. That means I do my best to be easy to talk to, I make sure that you feel comfortable and that lessons are always fun and entertaining. I don't judge at all and you never need to feel afraid to make mistakes when speaking to me. I believe that making mistakes and learning from them is a very important part of mastering a new language. I know it can be uncomfortable to have awkward silences during the class, so I pride myself in always having something to talk about and keeping the conversation going.

我的課程內容與教學風格

My lessons will involve assessing your current level of English, identifying your motivation for learning the language and the goals that you want to reach. My teaching style is relaxed and easy-going, however I will make sure to always prepare well for the lessons by having activities to do and by assigning short homework assignments that we can correct and analyse together. I believe that having conversations is very important to become fluent in a language so I will allow you to do most of the talking and provide corrections at the end of the lesson. We can talk about your favourite movies, your hobbies or whatever interests you! Ultimately, I want you to enjoy the lessons that we have!
