Hello, I’m Lily! A South African TEFL teacher with 7 years of experience, now based in Norway. Having lived in China and Malaysia, I deeply understand the challenges of learning languages (I’ve studied Mandarin and Norwegian too!). My psychology degree helps me tailor lessons to your mindset—whether you’re a busy professional, a curious kid, or someone battling language anxiety.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me cooking global dishes (great for casual English chats!), analyzing movies (hello, conversation practice!), or practicing yoga—because learning should feel good, not stressful. Let’s make English your bridge to the world!我的教學經歷
I have 7 years experience in teaching English as a foreign language in China and online. I've been teaching on italki for over 5 years. I have completed a 120hr TEFL certificate. I absolutely love and feel very blessed to be part of someone's English learning journey as I know it is extremely vital to so many.

My classes can either be casual or structured, depending on the student's needs. The lessons can be conversation-based or I can work out a syllabus to suit YOUR needs for your English learning journey. Whether it be pronunciation, grammar, reading or comprehension, I can tailor the class to your individual goals. But more importantly, I want to be more than a teacher to you. I want to help you evolve as a human being so doors all around the world can open up for you.

I am so grateful to Lily for teaching me the valuable lessons. Moreover, Lily is a patient teacher, she always helped me to fix my pronunciation errors. Lily is a really cool person. I learned a lot about protecting animals in her lessons. She really is an angel. She loves all living things in the world and wants to protect them. Before I started with italki, I had a problem with confidence and every time I had to speak English, it was scary for me because I was really nervous. So I am really glad I've chosen Lily. Conversations with Lily are always relaxed and I would say we always have a really great time. So, I think I've already shaken off most of my anxiety toward speaking English. Now speaking English is really FUN for me, and I am already looking forward to another lesson with Lily.
