I am originally from North of England, but have also lived in the Midlands. I work both as a teacher of English and a professional musician (singer, pianist and composer). I have a passion for learning and take my inspiration from both grand-mothers who continued to learn new skills (woodworking and piano) well into their 70s! I enjoy walking in the countryside, DIY, making music, baking and travelling. So far, I have travelled to the USA, a few European countries and the Caribbean - still have a long list of countries to visit.我的教學經歷
I am a native English speaker and qualified teacher. I love teaching and have been teaching for almost 20 years - Business, Music and English for foreign learners. I teach general and business English and exam preparation (IELTS, Trinity, etc) at all levels from beginners to advanced. I have a Level 5 TEFL and Certificate of Teaching Business English (TEFL Academy). I also have many years experience working in a healthcare organisation, organising multi-specialty teaching for junior doctors.我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons are centred around YOU, the learner; designed with clear learning aims and objectives and using a variety of learning methods and materials to make lessons interesting and to reinforce what you have learned. I have a very interactive teaching style and have found people learn most effectively when they use what they have learned. Our first lesson is a Diagnostic Lesson to find out what your current level of English is and what your English language goals are and how best I can help you to achieve them.我的教材

I really appreciate my English classes with Sonia. I moved from France to UK and suddenly I found myself working in an English environment that I was not going to understand 100%. Ramping up my English was one of my main goals. Sonia is an excellent teacher, she has a fantastic pedagogical knowledge, she understands immediately the specific difficulties I had with the English language and who knows exactly how to support.

Sonia is a wonderful teacher with a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed our lesson. She has a beautlful British accent. An excellent half an hour of chat. Sonia prepared very professional and interesting materials for the lesson and gave me a lot of tips on how to improve my English and become a good translator. Highly recommended!!
