I’ve been studying Chinese with her for a little over a month, starting completely from zero, and I feel like I’ve already learned a lot. I can introduce myself, talk about what I like to eat and do, use numbers, and we’ve also started learning pinyin. Her lessons are very effective because she encourages me to speak a lot and repeat naturally during class, so I always feel actively involved and never like I’m wasting time. At the same time, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, which makes learning much easier and more enjoyable. She clearly has a great teaching method, and the lessons are always engaging and productive. Time goes by so quickly during class, and I’m definitely planning to continue learning with her.

Catherine is a such a lovely, warm and patient woman you can ever find :) I feel super at ease when studying with her. Every class she comes well prepared and she gives me lot of opportunities to speak, not like some other teachers who keep talking without listening or caring much of what students are saying. I like the flow of conversation and the connection between us :) I love how she engages the conversation in our lesson while following the textbook as what I requested. I look forward to my 100th lesson with her soon :D

Really enjoying the lessons so far! Everything feels natural and well-organized, and I already feel confident in the process. I also really appreciate that after each class she sends personalized audio so I can practice pronunciation (which is so important in Chinese)
