My name is Ryusei, and I’m from Nara, Japan — a place famous for its temples, history, and friendly deer.
Outside of teaching, I have a variety of interests. I like visiting art museums, basketball, and also hearing your stories, experiences, and ideas is one of the things I enjoy most. I speak Japanese and English, and I enjoy connecting with people from different countries and cultures. I’d also love to hear about you — in Japanese or English, whichever you feel comfortable wit

As a teacher, I value flexibility. Every student has different backgrounds, and the most effective way to master a language varies from person to person, so I always adjust my lessons to fit what you need. Thankfully, my students often tell me that I have a calm and relaxed way of teaching, which makes it easier for them to speak without feeling nervous.
Ultimately, I want to be a teacher who listens carefully and encourages you. I’ll do my best to guide you in your Japanese learning journey, while making sure you always feel comfortable and motivated.

However, one thing that never changes is my commitment to creating a supportive and engaging environment where you can build confidence in using Japanese and make steady progress.

Ryusei is a great conversation partner! He adapts really easily to your level and maintains a natural I+1 comprehension level throughout the class which is very effective at boosting vocabulary acquisition. Also he always asks very interesting questions, classes are genuinely very fun!

It was my first time working with Ryusei Sensei and he was a great facilitator. He asked me questions to get to know my background and prompted me in ways to get more Japanese out naturally which is what I appreciated. He is very kind and I am looking forward to learning from him.
